Whatever happened to the Republican Wing of the Republican Party?
The dams of America are failing, and their grades are a collective “D”. The significance is that President “G”lobal “W”arming Bush’s multi-trillion dollar budget actually proposes cuts in dam maintenance. It is a steep price to fix these dams, 30 billion dollars total, or about $280 per family.
To put this on perspective, dams produce 60 percent of all vegetables and 12 percent of our energy.
Not to mention that flooding thing that could happen when a dam fails… and they DO fail.
Not to worry… the White House and Crawford, Texas are safe enough.
Guess what economic indicator rose every month in 2004?
THE CONSUMER DEBT LEVEL.
Yes… thanks to outrageous price hikes in necessities like gas, food and insurance, the American Family is setting record highs in how much money they owe.
We now get to finance things like: baby formula; gasoline for our SUV’s; dog food; and many, many other things.
And what is the Bush Administration doing about this problem?
You see, the more debt one has, the more money GW’s friends make on things like interest and late fees.
So GO OUT AND USE THOSE CREDIT CARDS AMERICA.
You’re contributing to the “ECONOMY”.
President “G”lobal “W”arming Bush "Thanks" Our Veterans
President “G”lobal “W”arming Bush’s multi-trillion dollar budget includes cuts aimed at our nation’s heroes. There will be slashes in funding to the VETERAN’S ADMINISTRATION including more than doubling the cost our hero’s pay for the drugs that keep them alive and a $250 dollar “USER FEE.”
Hey, doesn’t a “USER FEE” sound a lot like a deductible?
This $250 dollar “USER FEE.” was described as an “enrollment fee” by Richard Fuller, the legislative director of the Paralyzed Veterans of America.
The Democrats in the Congress and Senate are against the cuts in funds to our veterans. Most Republicans are for the cuts. They do what GW tells them to do. I say “MOST Republicans” because Rep. Chris Smith of New Jersey, a staunch Veteran’s Affairs advocate lost his Veteran’s Affairs Committee Chairmanship due to his view that spending more on veteran’s programs and health care is a good thing.
We are being tight,” said VP Dick “Go F*ck Yourself” Cheney said on FOX NEWS in regards to the budget. He then added, “It’s not something we’ve done with a meat ax, nor are we suddenly turning our backs on the most needy people in our society.”
So, if they’re not targeting the “most needy”, and they refuse to restore the tax giveback to the most wealthy, then…
WHO’S GOING TO PAY?
We are, boys and girls. We are.
Farmers and veterans are getting cut as well as student Pell Grants. But President Bush lies -- he says Pell Grants are increasing -- yes, by $100 a year -- but thousands of students will get zero (about 84,000), or will lose their grant -- maybe they can join the Army or National Guard instead.
Well, now that
betrayed his rural supporters ... so, what else is new! Hey
people, do you still trust this guy?
Hmmm, are we seeing the unraveling of the Republican party? I think those Repubs in Deep South are going to face some angry voters when they are laid off.
Oh yeah, the Bush-man is also planning to bust up the Federal government's unions - like he did with Homeland Security.
Sweet, huh! The man is making enemies everywhere. Well not quite, his rich buddies are getting more tax cuts - to the tune of 1 trillion dollars and he wants to end the estate tax. Do I smell a big fat cat rat?
JFK (thanks to Eddie Konczal)
"What do our opponents mean when they apply to us the label "Liberal?" If by "Liberal"... they mean someone who looks ahead and not behind, someone who welcomes new ideas without rigid reactions, someone who cares about the welfare of the people -- their health, their housing, their schools, their jobs, their civil rights, and their civil liberties -- someone who believes we can break through the stalemate and suspicions that grip us in our policies abroad, if that is what they mean by a 'Liberal,' then I'm proud to say I'm a 'Liberal.'"
-President John Fitzgerald Kennedy
TODAY'S STUPID QUOTE
It will cost $750 billion dollars over the next ten years and, "trillions more after that."
- Dick “Go F*ck Yourself” Cheney, on “G”lobal “W”arming Bush’s proposed plan for the personalization/ privatization/ PIRATIZATION of Social Security.
It will cost more than $750 Billion dollars over the next 10 years. That must be a CONSERVATIVE exstimate.
